You’ll discover what they eat, how they live, and what types of habitats they prefer. Naturalist Marianne will be on hand to interpret the displays and also tell you all about the myths surrounding some of our local wildlife.

First Baptist Church of Dadeville will host a free movie night for the whole community. Bring blankets and chairs for a showing of Disney's Over the Hedge under the stars on a 33-foot screen. There will be popcorn, treats, giveaways and more. The fun begins at 7 p.m., and the movie will start at dark.

Concert & Fireworks on the Lake

Alexander City Theatre II will perform this Shakespearean spoof for children at Strand Park at 6 p.m. The hour-long play, written by an elementary school teacher to introduce children to Shakespeare, pits two children's camps against each other in a competition to see which one will remain open and which will close to make room for a new development. Admission is free, so bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets, or pick up dinner at a downtown restaurant to enjoy in the park during the performance.
